Context and Background
The Hebron University (HU) Legal Clinic, in cooperation with the Department of Law and Jurisprudence as well as the Department of Political Science, is organizing an international conference that would examine the implications of the membership of Palestine to the United Nations (UN). As international law cannot operate and be understood except within the context of the global political atmosphere, the conference would focus on both international legal as well as practical/political dimensions of the Palestine membership in the UN. The conference is scheduled to take place on 18 and 19 April 2012 at the campus of HU, Hebron, Palestine.
